View Full Version : Rendering glow in Maya Hardware and/or viewport

I'm trying to render a glow effect via Maya hardware, but it does not show up. Glow only works in Mental Ray and Software, but I am only using Hardware. I'm wondering if it is possible to render glow for something like candlelight. The candle has its own diffuse and spec map, along with a glow map for the flame. I read somewhere that I need a CGFX shader, and I am aware that glow is a post-process. However, is there any way to do it? And if a CGFX shader is the way to go, how would I go about setting it up and/or finding one? Any help would be apreciated!
