View Full Version : Hair in Zbrush

Hey everyone, I was working on a bust sculpt of a woman and started to wonder how to go about sculpting her hair. I've seen a number of tutorials where the artist masks off a certain portion of the scalp, then extracts it as a subtool and wondered if this was the way to go? Also, the problem with this woman's hair is it overlaps the forehead at the front. Are there any good tools/brush presets that I should use for sculpting hair like this? For example the slash or snakehook tool to get those loose hair threads at the front. Here are the reference pics being used:-

Thanks in advance!
