View Full Version : Lighting in Houdini and volumetrics

04 April 2009, 04:26 PM
Ive been asked to light an ocean scene, in which you could see through the surfaces of the water through its translucent quality, in Houdini...Does anybody have a tip or suggestion, or maybe a finger to point me in the right direction how I could begin lighting volumetrics, particles, etc in Houdini? Thanks in advance

You should take a look at the ocean hot tool kit. Get over to the sidefx forum and do a search. Ive just come off a job where we used houdini to do some Ocean shots , we used the tool kit as a start point.
