I'm working on a 2D animation in Blender. I have a master scene that contains, among other things, a piece of plane geometry with an animated texture assigned to it.
The animation that I am putting on the plane is the render of ANOTHER Blender scene. I actually have several nested scenes in this way:
Master Blender Scene
So. This all works fine except, when working in my master scene, the plane that has an animated texture on it does not update in my viewports when I scrub the timeline. If I export the animation everything works fine, but the plane not updating what it actually looks like at any given frame makes it hard to animate other things in the scene to the Bunny's acting.
I hope that came out clear.
Does anyone have any advice for this given scenario? I'm sure there is a material setting somewhere I am missing that allows for the in-viewport update of the animated texture when I scrub the timeline. I would also accept advice in regards to other ways of setting up a 2D animated project in this vein.
