View Full Version : Let's see our spidey!!!!!

05-07-2002, 05:20 PM
In anticipation of the movie, I did a piece that didn't come out too bad.

Lets see what you got.

05-08-2002, 07:01 AM
no one has ever drawn spidey before.

That is kewl.

05-08-2002, 10:53 AM
well, i like it.......... but most of all, i LOVE the webbing, it really kicks ass........ Very comic-style.........

05-08-2002, 06:46 PM
Great job man!

05-08-2002, 09:42 PM
yeah!!! that's a cool one!

Eyes and head look a bit small to me, not sure..

I think I'm going to have to draw some spideys like I used to...

05-08-2002, 10:58 PM
Thanks guys.

I also wanted you guys post anything spider-man that you may have as well.

Um...I don't think I have anything Spider-man....sorry....

05-09-2002, 12:40 AM
I've been collecting spiderman comics for over 7 years now. Maybe I can scan you some comic images? :wip:

Oh and yeah, I think his eyes are a bit small as well, that is if you are drawing Spidey like he is now.
He used to have small eyes, but that is a looong time ago :)
The webbing rules, alot of spidreman drawers don't spend that much attention to the webbings, good job!

If you want to know my all time favorite spiderman drawer it has got to be John Romita Jr.

05-09-2002, 01:55 PM
ooooooooh thats nice. I agree.. the webbing is great. All those little knots are really cool.

05-09-2002, 06:34 PM
That is so funn that people are commenting on the webbing so much.

It was the easiest part of the piece.

It was so random how I did it.

I am glad that you doods like it!

P.S. anyone got any spidey things they have done?

05-10-2002, 08:29 AM
OK ... here's a spidey-sketch I did today just to add to this thread. What do you think? Should I finish it?

05-10-2002, 09:09 AM
Nice Spidey's guys! I want to see some more.

Kirt, yeah, finish it! It's a really good start. His pose is a bit weird, though. He looks as if he's shooting his webs while sitting in a chair. Make his legs trail behind his body, to give the image more fluidity. While you're manipulating the legs, you can fix his lower back because it's a bit out of whack. I like what you've done with his upper torso. That foreground hand is particularly nice (I have such a hard time with them).

Keep it up!

05-10-2002, 10:32 AM
okay i apologize cause i 'm just WHORING this pic out! sorry sorry for the people that have seen this a million times, i'll do a new one once things get less busy for me :hmm:

really nice pic joker x. very cool pose! personally i dont know if i like the fingers interlocked/hands clenched together part tho. but the rest is great!

kirt> great sketch. really solid forms! maybe if yu cranked a leg back or even his other arm it would give him a bit more motion so he doesnt look like he's "sitting in a chair" :D

wooo diggin these emoticons :airguitar :wip: :surprised

05-10-2002, 12:53 PM
Laying under my desk, crying my eyes out...
Have to wait untill june 27 for the dutch release... :annoyed:
(DIVX won't help me because of my 56k6 connection)

05-10-2002, 02:41 PM
Sometmes I prefer these kind of sketches to all those photoshop pictures that take hours to finish...

sketches that show your abilities very well, I think, more than the photoshop ones do.

very, very nice sketches, by the way... :D

05-10-2002, 02:55 PM
It took me a while to find it. I did this one almost 10 years ago, which means that I was... NINE YEARS OLD????
So I haven't drawn spideys since then, I'd better go draw some.
I have no idea how I did it, but...
Damn, I don't think I draw better now.

05-10-2002, 03:49 PM

Awesome stuff guys! I love seeing this kind of work.

And Kirt, definitly finish it!

Now, must give MONSTER love to itchi.

Not only is his drawing amazing, but his work is INCREDIBLE.

I have been following your work since Cybrid.

Thanks for the comments on the pic. The hands were a little of a pain. But that is when i try to throw in a little Mignola flava to simplify things.

Thanks for posting guys! Lets see some more!

Itchi, much respect my man! <bowing down>

05-10-2002, 10:36 PM
Here's a Spidey drawing I did about two years ago.

05-10-2002, 11:33 PM

I love the eyes!!!!!!!

Well done.

05-10-2002, 11:50 PM
Thanks! :)

I haven't drawn Spidey or any other comic style charactors in a long time. I suddenly feel like doing a few Spidey drawings right now though. Maybe I'll have a couple more up in a few hours. Thats only if I don't finish down loading Star Wars Ep. II first lol :D

05-10-2002, 11:53 PM
JX...just went back and noticed the first drawing there is yours. GREAT stuff! Spidey is cool but the web really makes that drawing...I'll have to try something like that. :)

05-11-2002, 12:03 AM
Paranoid, take a look at McFarlane drawn Spider-man comics. His stuff is full of that sort of webbing.

05-11-2002, 12:06 AM
lol itchi i have seen that a million times

05-11-2002, 09:34 AM
jokerX wow thanks for the props man! you are too kind  ugh throw that issue of cybrid away please it will poison your mind and give you rashes :p

briareos> heh yeah i know, i am such a post whore :thumbsdow hey by the way, i really dug your eatpoo contest entry. really nice stuff!

05-11-2002, 04:05 PM

I think that your stuff has been very solid, even in your early work.

And as for the brain rotting, I could that Rob Liefelds Youngblood for that. And for the rash, I can thank my Vegas trip for that, but we won't go there. . .

05-11-2002, 09:39 PM
itchi, you are such a whore!
Maybe bein a whore aint so bad, wanna work corners together?

I posted this in the WIP section a little while back and a few other places, so.... LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME.

Great stuff everybody!

05-11-2002, 11:56 PM

05-12-2002, 06:01 PM
Cool spidey's everyone!!!!!!

I just had to enter a pic of Spidey I made a few weeks ago. Because of the scanner and the Jpeg conversion the quality is very low and lot's of detail is gone...*shit*!!!

05-12-2002, 07:31 PM
Thanks for the kind words Frinsklen ...

05-12-2002, 07:53 PM

05-16-2002, 01:14 PM
Let's see our spidey!!!!!

Ok, you asked for it:p

Does anyone still remember Ben Reilly? Peter Parkers Clone? He was the Scarlet Spider and afterwards the new Spiderman while PP (didn't want to be spidey no more and temporarely lost his spider powers afterwards) and MJ(pregnant) were in Portland. This all happend in the comics a long time ago.
There were only two issues of the Scarlet Spider series, then Ben Reilly became Spiderman. So I drew the 3 issue for a school assignment last year :D
Here it is:

Drawn with CorelDraw 10.

05-17-2002, 11:09 AM

06-03-2002, 11:14 PM
40s and blunts! He he.

Dig Doc Oc's teeny tiny hands.

They should cast Elton John as Doc Oc in the next movie! Har har!
