View Full Version : mental ray ocean shader in max 9

hey, whats up again? im not really big on 3rd party plugins but the mental ray ocean shader has produced some pretty slick fx as far as i have seen. i've produced amazingly realistic results with the dreamscape plugin but my company is not going to dump $1000 into a plugin right now. unfortunately i am still struggling with the utilization of the shader itself. i have placed noise in both min and max slots, changed the size and wavelength but i still cannot get any noticeable result. exactly how are other people setting up their shader trees when using the ocean shader? appreciate your input.
