View Full Version : still: Creepy Night Revision

Hi all!
Some time ago I posted a different version of this image. I decided to send it to Exposé, so I hadn´t time to finish it as I liked. So I've made a different version, with the elements I wanted to have in the image.
Thanks to all people who helped me with his feedback....and of course, new comments and critiques are welcome...

it's a nice envoirement you got there..
personally I would make the character on the stairs more clear\visible (don't know how to say it right), maybe by adding some light on him or something, but the picture already looks great thou :)

Great environment! Love the position of the camera!

if you like to make the character more visible, then move the moon so a little of it is behind the head and body of the monster. I love your atmosphere. Excellent work.

Very eerie. Love it.

Thats very cool and I love it.

Only thing I dont like is the fog. It looks too blotchy on the ground and not as settled as the rest of the scene. Maybe what I'm thinking is that it's too chaotic compared to the rest of the slow spookiness the rest of the scene portrays.

great mood very dark love it.

great environment, great lighting, I just don't like the lighting on the character, you decided to keep it 'anonymous' and I think it would fit better when it's just black, not accented with the white highlight

I really like this. The only little thing I'd pick on is the leaves look like puzzle pieces.
The lighting is really nice. That's hard to do for night scenes. The moon is nicely placed and the characters pose is cool. If he was more against the sky he would stand out better but I'm not sure that's what you want since he's skulking around. I sertainly wouln't get rid of the fence in the back.
It reminds me of one of the Kings Quest games, I forget which one. The one with Rosella, I think. They allways had those goofy poems on the tombstones.

Thanks for the comments to all!

golem: I can't show a closer rendering because the character is painted over the render...

I like alot. Has great feeling.

I think you can take it into photoshop and push the tone a lot. Its hard to describe... but darken areas and direct people's eyes towards the center... give it a less 2D feel...

Hard to explain... would have to show you.

Anyway, just my opinion... absolutley a cool shot though... I love it :)

Wesball...I think I know what you want to explain....making the ambient darker...the dark zones will be more black and the center of the image will be more "important" to people's eyes...
I don't care about the 2d feel, I usually want to make my 3d images have a illustration feeling, I don´t want to find a "reality-copy" image..

Thanks for your comments...

Ey.. I DO really like the scene... It's like a comic ilustration... I'd like to see a character moving around... What about a camera animation?... with the grass moving... and something going out of the floor¡¡¡¡¡ UUHHHHHHH... amazing¡¡¡¡¡

Awsome atmosphere. If i had to crit one thing though is that the light is a little to bright especially on the head stone.
