Hi :) Could someone point me to a script that analyze a mesh and break vertices when tha angle between two faces exceed a (preferably custom) value ? (Well, if this script exist of course :D)

not sure how you would tackle the scripting part, but this sounds like it could be done by autosmoothing the mesh to a set angle then select the faces by smooth group and detach?

when you reattach them they won't be welded so in effect the correct vertices will be broken.

smart workaround. you don't even have to reattach them if you 'detach as element'

Many thanks :D I never thought of that, I make models for a program that smooth everything and the only way to have sharp angles is to break :) Your solution save me hours of works, thanks a lot :)
