In it to win it.
Let me know of you guys have any suggestions.
03-28-2009, 03:55 AM
LOL, this is the best thing i ever saw.
03-28-2009, 06:36 AM
Very Funny! :)
04-01-2009, 02:35 PM
Thats seriously the best DW contribution Ive ever seen. All these zbrush-ogres and cyborgs are so friggin unoriginal and boring no matter how technicly perfect they are.
04-01-2009, 02:59 PM
:D :D jejeje Very funny and original.
keep it up:beer:
04-02-2009, 12:02 AM
My god that is amazing on so many levels.
04-02-2009, 02:26 AM
lol, hey don't steal Mr. Wiener's identity!
04-03-2009, 02:29 PM
i hope you win. give him a double headed laser axe too !

Thanks for the comments. I've had some free moments over the last couple of days to begin blocking in some base geometry. My plan is to model out all the forms in Max, and then bring the more organic stuff into ZBrush or Mudbox for some detail work. Here's where I'm at right now:
04-04-2009, 06:50 AM
Awesome and funny..
04-06-2009, 02:56 PM
Thats crazy man, and awsome! Def my fav during this comp! :)
04-06-2009, 04:11 PM
This is the Hotness! Whats up Hausman, this is Asstornado. The sphincter is great, I cant wait to see the detailing and texturing thats gonna go into the butthole.
04-08-2009, 11:53 PM
I've got a bit more done on the high poly, most of the main forms are blocked in. I'll take parts into Zbrush/Mudbox after I model out his weapon. I'll probably also rough out the low poly before doing any crazy detail work.
04-20-2009, 05:11 AM
wow that is messed up. Crazy good, but messed up!
Cool!! , really great character with great funny feel, very unique idea! :D Good luck and waiting for more updates! Cheers!!

Finally, pure Evil is born. We got too much of serious ''End of the world'' vilain in this war. May your red head sausage mustache boy lead the path to a funnier war.
But seriously Haussman, what's with that hole, i want the backstory...lol
Great concept, cant wait for the next update
04-20-2009, 07:00 AM
Why, that's spectacular.
04-23-2009, 06:33 PM
Thanks mcteapot, Ferx, and Swizzle.
LuciferTremblay - I've been thinking about his backstory sometimes as I work and have jotted some of those ideas down. The overall concept though is that he is a Clericon with the power to weaken enemies using:
-A uncanny level of poor personal hygiene.
-His magical weapon, Poo-On-A-Spatula.
-Awkward stares that leave others feeling uncomfortable and slightly violated.
-Conjuring smells from deep within.
Most of his weakening powers are non-physical though, as he is required by law to stay at least 70 yards away from school zones, day care centers, and public places where minors congregate.
I've got some notes on his species origin as well that I'll post later on. Anyway, below is a ZBrush update. Should have all the ZBrush stuff finished up soon; will then move on to completing the low poly and projecting.

It's just sheer and utter brilliance. If you dont win, we shall have naught to do but declare shennanigans on this entire contest.
04-27-2009, 08:44 PM
Nice and funnu as a character, but gross in this competition. DW background is quite serious, this is a War... I can't imagine this sausage guy winning this.
Anyway, keep it up, the execution is very clean, good job.

Below is the low poly (wireframe and normal mapped). I came in under budget on polys so I decided to make some actual fly models instead of just using alpha planes. After I delete the hand and place his mitt on, I should be able to copy a few more around. On to texturing.
Low poly wireframe:

oh,man, this is brilliant!
04-30-2009, 01:09 AM
Freakin hilarious lmao. Good job haha
04-30-2009, 04:04 AM
imop best entry EVER! haha. Can't wait to peep the textures, make the hole nice and brown :)
05-01-2009, 11:19 AM
Hey man! :)
Awesome entry man, haha! Funny, scary and disgusting. Can't wait to see your final! ;) Keep it up!
05-02-2009, 06:39 PM
Thanks iatriki, hugemalaka, Ghostesper, and FrozZT.
So with deleting his left hand and applying the mitt, I was able to get all the below in the scene (and I still have about 100 polys leftover for some alpha-plane stink lines).
I think I'm almost done with the diffuse map. The spec map is just roughed in for now, I need to spend some more time on it. I'll also play around with a reflection map and maybe a gloss map (not sure if I need this). I'll hold off on finishing those until after I make his pedestal. I also gave him a team tramp stamp.

Stunning work done!! Great and unique concept. I nearly fell from the desk laughing. :applause:
Very good work with the maps as well.
Thumbs up man and PROST!
hahahaha i love this!
my only suggestion would be to add a little color noise and a bit of hue variation on most of the colors. right now the colors look too raw and adding just a bit of subtle hue variation would do wonders.
one thing you can do in photoshop is create a custom brush and put a color jitter on it and paint on a adjustment layer with "color" blend mode. this usually does the trick. it has to be very subtle though.
05-07-2009, 12:38 AM
Man this is amazing, to be honest I thought this guy would never be more than the 2d concept... but thanks for shutting my mouth up... funny, original, different and yet technically perfect!... and a bit bizarre and disturbing I must say :D:D nice! excellent work!!
05-07-2009, 04:34 PM
Thanks Locusta, fx81, and stroggtank. fx81, I've since added a bit more color to his face and a few other areas. I think the lighting in the above shot may be causing the colors to get a bit blown out as well. I've finished my base up (posted below). I'll move onto the final renders and submission sheets next.
haha nice pedestal.
i actually like the over saturation and vibrance of the colors, what i suggested was a bit more color bleeding, variation and noise in the color itself.
here is a paintover to explain what i mean:
05-07-2009, 11:21 PM
hahahah thats awesome man, messed up idea and awesome execution! congrats
05-08-2009, 12:02 AM
* corn in the poo * :D
I love the pedestal, awesome idea man
05-11-2009, 10:00 PM
aaron, great execution... i can't stop laughing! I'm surprised you didn't give him the hairy taint. Lets see some poses!
05-11-2009, 11:41 PM
i vote for this one for sure!
05-13-2009, 04:52 PM
fx81: Ah I see what you mean. I'll try that out.
Thanks dmightyone, ROBOTTANK, onelung, and amiramz; glad to have your support.
I've started putting together the final submission sheets. I've pretty much got the text, construction, texture, and concept ones done. Below is the construction sheet (at a reduced size).

You win! Really though, its very clean and textures look great. Good luck Haus!
05-14-2009, 08:19 PM
haha great stuff man!
you dont have a chance of winning i guess but i love it.
05-15-2009, 11:25 PM
jajaja. :argh: :)
I like a lot your entry. You have my vote.
05-19-2009, 05:51 AM
hahahaha one of the most out there and over the top concepts and the final is excellent.
well done indeed :)
05-19-2009, 08:31 AM
Haha i love it, its so awesomely disturbing. I'm never eating a hotdog again! :p Im assuming you finish, really hope you did, becouse this deserves some recognition! :) If you go into some kind of placement in the judjing will probably just depend on how the judges handle the subjectmatter, the execution is very nice. Good luck with the judging man and congrats on an awesome entry! :)
specular on the poo is spot on ;D
05-19-2009, 03:11 PM
awesome finish dude. hey what's on the sides of his chin? I couldn't figure it out.
05-19-2009, 03:40 PM
Thanks, I finished all the shots up a few days ago and submitted the finals over the weekend. Below is my "beauty" render (reduced in size some).
ROBOTTANK, the stuff on his chin are little squares of toilet paper. It's to stop the bleeding when you cut yourself shaving.
05-19-2009, 05:09 PM
man this character rock frome the start to the end ! im not fan of a cartoon style but this is just amaizing graeat job!
