So I'm finally back here at CGS. I hope this time around I actually get to finish. Just some concept work for now. I don't have a name yet but maybe a norm with the ability of transmutation via a magical cloak. Crits and comments are all welcome as always.

I'm working up the costume a little more here and finding a place to put the CGS logo. She's gonna have loads of jewelry. Cant forget the 'bling' seeing as she has the midas touch (maybe some life creation/re-animation capability?).

So I finally got my palette straight and now I need some textures. Just staying as active as possible.

Okay so I came to a revelation just now about how my mind works. I tend to think up the story first then build the characters/scene later. Which makes it difficult to touch my wacom or any drawing instrument without having an objective. With that being the case, here is her story:

The daughter of a the village seamstress, Aset was born with a natural intuition. She understood how things work with little precursory knowledge of its origins. This led to her being nicknamed the "Architect". When she felt it right her mother passed onto her a family heirloom that had been in the family since the beginning of their bloodline. This heirloom was a cloak. One without fancy adornments or intricate patterns but this fabric wielded something more powerful than anyone understood. Everyone except Aset, she understood upon touching it that this cloak was special and instantaniously saw its origins. Woven into this fabric is the hair of an angelic being that assisted God in the creation of the universe. This hair was so strong and beautiful that it resisted wear/aging. It endowed her with the ability to create and destroy with a thought. Re-animation/transmutation, the ability to mold and shape the universe on a sub-atomic level. With this and her natural clairecognizance she set out to save this universe from destruction.

Hey all. I'm back and still looking for more input as to my character. Here I'm throwing in some color to get things moving. Still havent decided on a final but lots of sketching. Please feel free to offer feedback. I'm doing my best to offer mine.

P.S. There is going to be some surprises in the final. Let me know what y'all think :)

The sketches look very promising. The flow of the cloak gives it a very nice dynamic and flow, but the pose of the character still looks very stiff. Maybe you should think a bit more in bows, for example she could arch the back. I guess it would give her pose more power. Just a suggestion.

so long

Thanks for the input I thought the same initially but I'm having fun developing the characters personality. Will try many more movements as suggested though. Thanks all :)
