Good luck!
Here is my first sketch.

After the battle, ERNTEMACHINE walk through the pile of dead Norms lying on the battlefield to collect brains of the strongest generals and arms from the best engineers and surgeons.
For strategic purpose, she could ask the other machines to kill a precise general, with is obligation to leave the brain intact.
She won't take part to the fight, she's made for strategy, organisation of offensives, using the generals' knowledges stored in their brain. She can connect five at once to her CPU, not more. The brains are protected by glass tubes on her back.

hope you like. C&C welcome =)

Ah ah sympa! I like the idea and concept. Maybe the concept drawing could go a be more crazy?
Nice anyway.

03-18-2009, 01:38 AM
Great concept and very nice silhouette.

03-18-2009, 01:50 AM
Indeed. I like....very menacing.

03-18-2009, 02:06 AM
Great concept neobear. Very neat, can't wait for more updates!

03-18-2009, 03:47 AM
wow, i like the concept a lot and the silhouettes are great! I like how you've added the surgeons arms, the face and the tail. It gives it a slight creepy organic look.

Looking forward to seeing more! :D

03-18-2009, 04:11 AM
Love the background and inspiration for your concept, cant wait to see your progress on this!

03-18-2009, 04:58 AM
cool drawings, i like the quad arms idea on a machine.

03-18-2009, 05:29 AM
Good outlines and concept. It reminded me of the 3D winner of DWII right away. Not sure if that's a good thing but you could try and explore some more and see if you can lose the similarity. Good Start.

03-18-2009, 07:05 AM
Love the idea. Long live the Machines!

03-18-2009, 08:14 AM
Good outlines and concept. It reminded me of the 3D winner of DWII right away. Not sure if that's a good thing but you could try and explore some more and see if you can lose the similarity. Good Start.

yeah it was my thought immediately too... I love it but it seems very close.

03-18-2009, 08:47 AM
Thanks for comments very appreciated.

>>> Raresh - Intervain
I have just see the winner of DWII (http://www.dominancewar.com/spotlights/taehoon/taehoon1.htm ) This one ?
I haven't find his speech about his character, but I think the concept is totally different, but the outline look like his one, you are right. In color it will be different, i'm sure.
I Will rework the legs for detach from his concept. I will not touch the high of body cause I really like it. Another way It to put her tracked, i will try with that.

Thanks =)

03-18-2009, 10:55 AM
Must agree with RaresH.

The overall silhouette is very similar.

I will not touch the high of body cause I really like it.

Unfortunately I think the body is the very similar part. The hips, spine, upper chest, head stock inside the chest, are exactly the same.
The legs and arms have some similarities but give enough variations.

03-18-2009, 10:36 PM
A quick update with Tracked. She looks different a little. And with some detail on her head and armor she will be totally different.

03-19-2009, 06:34 PM
Hey Neobear ! Not totally fan of the new version, i prefer the legged one... And the overall shape looks just a bit like DWII winner...
Maybe you should try multiple legs, like a spider...

Great concept and storyline though, can't wait to see the evolution ! ;)

03-19-2009, 07:32 PM
Very cool i like it, i think i prefer the version with legs more as well

03-21-2009, 10:48 AM

Abrvpt > thanks man, if I have time I will try with spidery, I like the idea.
SpecArs4 > thanks, It is my mond to, so for the moment I keep my first version.

Here is a little sketch with more details and somme colors to show you the way I take.
She dosen't look like any more at the character of DWII.

03-21-2009, 09:11 PM
Nice new sketch you have there. the stretched skin is a very nice touch. I also agree that the legged version looks better, and more legs would give the machine more presence and menace. Perhaps the containers could hold brains with eyes and spinal columns for an added gruesome touch. just a thought to go with the torn skin!

03-22-2009, 12:21 AM
Whether be it two, or three or how many you wish.
But the last version looks a bit like No 5. The upper part is as fierce as it should be at war ^^

03-22-2009, 05:17 AM
great design, love the idea, keep going !!

03-24-2009, 08:21 PM
Yes, multiple legs sounds like a good idea. I highly recommend you try some concepts like that. Maybe a tri-leg or quad-leg design?

03-24-2009, 10:05 PM
>Belindi : I'have think at firt to put in containers only brains, but in the battelfields it is more terrifying to see inside someone you know, or a powerfull general. Brains are impersonal in my mind. I don't want only "gore" but something who can play on the ennemys spirits.

>DeadinTheAttic : How many that is the question ^^ ...

>PetterBraely : thanks, I goooo!

>Raresh : T will draw some concepts with multipl legs, all criticizes went in the same way. With 3 or 4 legs she will be more impressive.

Thanks for comment, I go back to work !

03-26-2009, 08:53 PM
All right I have made 3 sketch with your advices! very helpfull and make my character progress. With 3 or 4 legs , and one invert, she is working on the corpse falling on the battelfields. It is more in agreement with her work ! with her head near the floor . And the concept is more original, in my mind.

03-26-2009, 11:40 PM
with more details

03-27-2009, 01:59 AM
Hey Neobear,

The last sketch looks great!! really cool design and concept!! Like a lot the idea that the cyborg can "reverse" the stance, very cool! Looking forward for more updates!! Cheers!!

03-27-2009, 05:54 AM
yes i like the last one too..original idea, good pose has alot of potential, works with the female head.

03-27-2009, 10:08 AM
Hey neobear your last sketch is cool. If you go for this one, I think that you should try to replace the arms with some heavy weapons like some extra large machine guns or stuff like that, because I don't think the arms would be useful in this position ... I don't know it's just an idea I wanted to share with you ...
Your design remind me of HK comics That's great I like this style !
Keep it up I'll keep an eye on your thread :arteest:

03-27-2009, 03:47 PM
i like the last idea, which the whole body is upside down, quite creative....keep it up!!

my DWIV entry (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?p=5758209#post5758209)

03-27-2009, 05:15 PM
Much much better than the last 2 other concept which were a bit boring. Nice!

03-27-2009, 09:36 PM
Ferx > I recevived a lot of good advices and I just follow them ^^

prOwler > Thanks =)

Nh > Ahhhh I like HK, but it made a long time I haven't read it. Very cool comics, he is very stong with all cyborgs and engines !!! If I can have his level
For the heavy weapon I'm not really fan because my cyborg came after battles, with an escort. But you are right she must have a weapon, I'm thinking were I can put it ^^ Her arms are usefull for collect some heads and members, so I can't replace them.

Derricksong > a lot of usefull advices^^ at the end it will be a collective character! Ilike it, i make a lot of progress. thanks for encouragement.

CharlesVarenne Thanks so I'm on the right way héhé

03-28-2009, 03:27 PM
I quikly make this sketch on the advice of Abrvpt, with the legs more long, and the arms dosen't touch the floor when she is walking. She looks more class. The previous sketch she looks like a beast liying in wait. I don't really know what I want she looks like, dangerous, bend, waiting her victims or right and walking through the corpes, like a "queen", she looks dangerous too but it is very different !

03-28-2009, 03:58 PM
Great Progress! the concept is getting better and better.. love the way it is evolving! love the last sketch with upside down spider kinda features.. i still liked it when the arms when on the ground, gave more creepy feel.. you can always make those mechanical arms raise her up and down as required but i still didn't get the idea of how keeping her torso in air gave it more class, i see it more like the torso might be jiggling up and down as she walks around with those huge spider legs..

04-03-2009, 10:38 AM
The world upside-down. A bit spider-like and really dangerous.
Cool idea.

04-03-2009, 11:36 AM
Love the sillouhettes from your first versions. Not so much the tank track one though. Can't wait to see more progress.

04-06-2009, 01:13 PM
Namnocilis > You're right it will be two positions of the same creature. the firt for keep bodies or for fight and the second just for walk.

DeadInTheAttic > Thanks

Tical0011 > here a little update ;)

Nh advise me to give her a weapon, so I find something smart , little and light .... a minigun !!
He is in her back when she is working, or walking, but in battel the minigun slide between her arms like that >>>>

04-06-2009, 03:13 PM
That's an interesting twist, to invert the character. It feels right.
The dangling cables are a nice touch.

04-06-2009, 04:16 PM
Realy like your concept! Can't wait to see more! keep up the good work

04-07-2009, 09:11 PM
Very nice progress ! It looks great when the arms doesn't touch the ground, they get usefull for collecting body parts. The minigun is nice too. ^^ Don't forget it's ammo. ;)

04-21-2009, 02:02 PM
GaeasHerald > Thanks I keep the cables i like it too

Suricatus> Thanks

Abrvpt> yeah the ammo will be on her back leg attached on the first segment. For the moment I don't know if it will be some bullets or an energie case ....

Here is a new sketch, I will use it for thr turn arround I think. I have the global design so I have started to put some details .

Hope you like.

here a quick try with colors ...

04-21-2009, 04:32 PM
Cool design man! Good luck!

04-21-2009, 08:50 PM
Very nice pal ! Maybe you should do a quick test in rotten flesh tones, could look creepy. ^^

05-04-2009, 08:37 PM
Thanks dude.

Here I've start my final compo, there is just constction lines.

05-05-2009, 10:48 PM
one more

05-06-2009, 06:57 AM
wow your first concept is very similar to mine:D Great work, cant wait to see more

05-07-2009, 07:39 AM
Phill > thanks, I've change my first design because a lot af people said that look like a littel bit too much to the DW II winner, so I change my design for have something more original.

Here a little quick test with colors

05-07-2009, 10:09 AM
Good job ! I like her expression, examining the head. Only one crit on the lips, they looks made-up, very reddish for dead skin... If she actually use make up, it could be creepy to have lipstick far after the lips, like a grim clow or something. Just an idea. ;)

Keep up !

05-10-2009, 03:35 AM
Neobear your image is coming along great, good job:thumbsup:. The composition and camera angle are very powerful and effective. My only suggestion would be to crop it a little bit on the left to give the character more visual weight within the scene (take the stairways off).
Keep it up!

05-14-2009, 10:03 PM
Abrvpt > thanks ! nice idea with he lipsick ! i have try and it is pretty cool ^^

GaeasHerald > thanks too =) For you suggestion i have think to crop, you confirmed it thanks! It is better !!!

05-14-2009, 10:10 PM
Yeah dude, keep it up !

05-15-2009, 09:54 AM
ty man :)

my modeling sheet.... I don't know where I can put the legs... they are so long, and if I attachez them to the body this one will be very little... :s And there not a lot of details on the legs, the most important is the body. help :banghead:

05-16-2009, 01:12 PM
ahh certrainly my last update ^^ after it will end
there is the concept sheet, model sheet and final illustration.

Hope you like it !! :)
