View Full Version : bailey in desert
your lighting gives the impression that it is the evening (sunset) or dusk. with a big blu sky like that, light should be more omnipresent. add some fill lights.
Created bu MAYA & PHOTOSHOP.
Give me some tips.
Any one has experience of using the VOLUME PRIMITIVES?
I found it hard to generate irregular fogs ,like cloud.
I linked the noise texture to the density or color attribute of the cubeFog,but it does no help!
Anyone can help me?

it`s the fort Jiayuguan at the end of the great wall, am i right?
jan_muentinga,have you been to china, you can say chinese? So happy to hear this.thank you for your praise. But this is not fort Jayuguan, just an old city I thought up.
And zen, also thank you.You are right, the lighting is not the effects in my mind.I did not use GI renderer,so I set lots of lights in this scene. But the shadow is still so dark.

z3f ... I love your works ... do you have a bigger version though? I'd really like to use that as my wallpaper if you don't mind :)
I notice the pics look like a gate to an ancient China kingdom ... you can add it to Toeng.com if you have a bigger version, I bet many of my visitors will love it :)
