The model had to be used in a real time application so it has around 300.000 triangles(150.000 quads) - all the car, interior, exterior, wheels, etc...
The interior was modeled by a friend of mine ( www.biagio3d.ro )

Can you show us the interior of this car.I think the interior maybe more complex and difficult to model.

The model is good, but I think you should reduce that Blueish reflection in the first pic, because there is no blue in that sky.
So that's why it looks a bit pasted in.

ok first of all GREAT job on the car it looks so real.
Second of all, i've seen a bunch of these nice cars around (i.e suurlands beetle and such) and i still cant get the reflections on my car paint to act like yours...
Which software are you using and renderer ?
If you use 3dsmax with vray plz give me some tips on car paint :D

150k quads in realtime #, whooaaaa, thats heavy. Where can I see pics from the real time app where you are using the car?
But it took my less than five minutes to find incorrect parts (eg. headlight, door handle...) . Low Time Budget?

how on earth do you guys get that metallic texture...? I tried it out a few times, but I can't get it right...

Yes nice car :) but what gives it away is that there is no tire valves on those wheels man :) how are you suposed to put Air in those tires? or is the tires purly rubber? just my critt hehe anyways good job :)

bastiaan and enzodiac thanks, yes I used 3ds and vray, the car material is a simple material with a
falloff in the reflection slot(around 5% on white material, and 15-20% on black material), on one of the tabs I have a vray reflection with fresenel set on. But it's very important to use a good HDRI map.

Hi Daniel I was wondering when you will show up....You picked on my vw passat headlights and you
were wrong. Here you are wrong again. I did them after my client images(not after those vwvortex low res images), and I must say I tried to respect as much as detail as possible(even the lightblulb). And what about the door handles ? But I think if you liked the door handles I'm sure you could find another
"thing" to pick on...like the dimensions of the car...who knows, maybe is wider with 1,2 mm ? :)
Btw, that real time application rendered the car using vertex shaders on DirectX 9 and the object limit was 200k polys.

I just was surprised that the headlights on your model looks very reflective, AFAIK there are always some patterns inside. :rolleyes:
Well, I just can say that the handles looks wrong ... hehe
Is it possible to see the 3D - Engine in action anywhere?
