View Full Version : Modify mesh without modifying texture

lets say i create a 10x10 plane and apply a texture to it... when i then move the vertexes the texture also move... can i make it so the texture stands still while i modify the vertexes?

Maya Bonus Tools used to have something called Preserve UVs made for this purpose.
But funny now I cant find it !

Can you assign your texture as a projection rather than normal?

Thanks guys... Im using maya 2009 and i actiually found a "Preserve Uvs" checkbox in the regular move-tool. works great! I guess it intergrated som of the bonus tools

keep in mind, to do this you actually move the UVs to counteract the movement of the vertice
