Am going to try doing a group photo of the evil main characters in MOTU.
I did some redesigns of the characters in MOTU some time ago, thought I'd make them as 3D models. I'm a little late in entering, but I think the picture can be done, and I've wanted to experiment in Zbrush for some time, think this is a good way to do that :)

Wow! Ingar, ur redesigns are really cool :) Nice take on the MOTU :) Looks very ambitious but all the better for it. Good luck!

Ohh, I like the concept sketch. Not sure how I feel about them all facing the same direction but I suppose that is a minor thing that can easily be fixed when you start modeling.

But I've tweaked Triklops and started on skeletor in another file.

Alma's gotten in the way of the HMC, but Ill try to keep focused on the important things in life.. the HMC of course :) NEW UPDATE.
Bad, bad little EvilLyn.
Went for an older more mature version of her than in the toons.

I want to give 3klops' visor a little graphic around each of the 3 lenses, in a kind of Art Deco\ Bioshock type of style, but I'm not sure about what it should be and how it should look.. If anyone of you CGS members have ideas, Id really appreciate the input :)
He's gotta have 1 -distance vision, probly the round one, 2 -xray vision OR look round corners, and 3 -night vision.

Update: Been working a lot on the Tri-klops visor, wanted to really give this a personal and mystic feel.

Last update on Tri-klops. Went through a few iterations on him, from single circlet armor, Shoulderpads under the circlet, but ended up on just a single cloak. Assassins don't wear armor anyway..

Completely changed the look of EvilLyn, and added sword for TriKlops.
Although the former EvilLyn model was nice, i changed it. Both because the whole picture has a lot of detail surfaces and I think it needs a few smooth surfaces, AND it all became a bit of Zbrush overkill. If you have any input on this or anything else, dont hesitate to post, it's always nice to hear other opinions..

The new model for EvilLyn is better imo, she looks alot younger now.

Finally satisfied with Skeletors body, made his staff as well..
Tweaks to camera and lights.. Yeah. Now it's just a few details that need doing, mostly accessories to the characters, and then on to coloring :) ..

Also, here is a concept drawing I did after making Skeletor's face. I wondered about doing something else with Skeletor and his armor, since the face model came out pretty cool. In the end I decided to go with the original concept drawing.

A lot of details added; 'necklaces' on EvilLyn and Merman, armorpiece on Skeletor, details on EvilLyn and Skeletors staffs, neckguard on EvilLyn. Nearly done with modelling :)

This kicks some serious A*% :D
The designs looked really cool but the piece looks even better. Kind of miss the first look of EvilLyn, she looked corrupted by her inner evil. Skeletor looks a bit like the character from the motion picture, very nice job indeed.

Software: 3DS Max, Zbrush, Photoshop
I wanted to make my own interpretations on the evil team from Masters of the universe.
I've done a few reinterpretations of this before (see concept art in WIP thread), so I think I've finally got this out of my system now.. :)
TriKlops is in my interpretation a psychotic ninja-type assassin, Merman is a martial arts master and deep mystic. Skeletor is the deranged magician and tactical mastermind. EvilLyn isn't too much changed from the cartoon line, and is the independent-thinking necromage and mystic.
I've worked making the basemeshes in Max, exporting to Zbrush for detailing and exporting back into Max for setup and lighting..
Time wise , I've been working on this whenever I had the time and lust to work.
I havent run a timelist, so my guess is that Ive worked on this 3hrs every weekday , so roughly 90 hours then..
