View Full Version : What do you need most for Maya plugins?

Hi all,

I'm a fully-rated software tools developer with 15 years of experience who is wanting to transition from general business workflow automation into animation studio workflow automation. I'm presently taking a graduate course in CGI/Animation in Maya to get up to speed, I'm not doing at all badly in polygons and nurbs in the exercises for a former CAD jockey. I have 4 years of existing Python experience writing sophisticated business automation tools.

I need to build a portfolio and I was curious to know what the most compelling needs for Maya plug-ins or automation tools were.

Anyone care to point me in a good direction with suggestions for my first major project?
