View Full Version : Flickering Blendshapes?

This is the first time I have encountered this, so if anyone else has experienced it, I'd love to know:

I've noticed that with some blendshapes, some of the CV's on the mesh move about from frame to frame - but the movement is an infinitesimal amount and in a random flickering manner. The CVs are also nowhere near the area of deformation.

I am NOT talking about flickering textures, flickering shaddows, problems with Dmap, etc.

This is not something you can even notice in the renders.

Is it possibly just the rounding error in openGL.
Since all point will be translate as pixel which is integer there might be a flicker when it's played.

Just to make sure, create a locater, setup expression for translate X, Y and Z using pointPosition of the flickering vertex.

Bake the simulation, and see whether it is actually moving in 3D space.

thanks misterdi, I'll give that a try.

Or try deleting history on the heads before doing the dlend shapes.
