Wow, that is one terrifying escalator lol
Overall, I find the motion too slow, but it could be because its just WIP, but it is definitely floaty. The flailing body is also very disturbing....like he has no bones at all. I think it could be funnier if you were to animate some actual bounces and not leave it up to that disturbing flailing. The main key is to add some character to the animation. A good start though.

It really does look like he's boneless. You should also think about how he'd react when falling. He wouldn't just fall and not protect himself, his arms would be up and blocking his face, for example.

It's a cruel escalator!
What was the rig? IK/FK?
He seems like the game character, those who get stuck into doors and elevators....
I would suggest you live refernce, but seeing it is soo dangerous, you can check out escalator fall on AFV of something on youtube and use that as a ref....

you managed to give the illution that the character is falling down the escalator but somethings off its like he's a puppet on strings and theres no weight on he's fall i'd look at references if i was you, try this for reference http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2bzGDIAEGc&feature=related
check out my short film progress feedback is welcome :)

You might want to tone down the camera movement at the beginning, it's kinda hard on the eyes right now. The pose you have for him when he first steps up to the escalator it looks like his center of gravity is off. When he first touches the railing and then looks down it looks like his neck is broken. Also, when he starts to fall backwards a bit it looks like his legs get hyper-extended and his feet are attached to the step, have those rock back with him.
I like the ending where he tries to get back on and the escaltor starts moving again knocking him down; nice comedic bit there.
