When i extruded a Disc, i have some
polygons created at the side of the extruded disc...
so, can i Unify or merge (now i forgot the exactly action, i have been used the "Z" key for it) if i am going to use it just like is ???
thanx in advance...
CAuse i want reduce the number of polygons for reduce my rendering time.

If you want fewer polys on the side of your extruded disc, don't waste your time merging polys. Simply create a new disc with fewer segmets. I think the default is 24 segments. That's a good default, but it may be overkill in some circumstances. Try reducing it to 12 or 8 (if you're really daring). That will give you fewer polys once you extrude.

with smoothing on, and so long as a end on shot isnt required 6 can be used as the bare minimum.

Hell why not go all the way, convert it to a Sub and use only 4 :)

I think Rei Ayanami meant smoothing located in Surface Editor in lower part of the panel,but in this case you'll still have top and bottom polys with corners,if in your model these two polys are invisible-this is the best way to model low poly cylinder.
I dont think that creating 4-sided disk(actually box) and subpatching it in order to achieve round form is a good solution in this case because LW need to optimize it when rendering,which increase render time.
