(http://assets.cgsociety.org/nvart/202307_1235945930/1024bound)Hi. It's my entry. It's 3D work, with very few painted elements (mostly shadows, masks etc.). It was realy hard to create shaders and mood of Yerka's painting, but I hope I've succeded ;). Image use few textures (ground, bark, pipes, buildings), and some procedural shaders (water, ground and sand displacement, plants). If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Very nice, when i saw it, i though it was a 2d work, so you achieved that feeling very well.

Here is detail zoom on plants - shader is prepared for much higher resolution than I used for rendering image (yes - I'm going to make much biger version :) ). I've used mixed procedural maps to avoid uvw maping and make all plants unique. Also, as you can see, it works on very simple geometry - I can put thousands of objects into scene without crashing my PC. Later I will add scene geometry with AO preview.

Wow, for a 3d entry you definitely got the shading and colours. Funny cos this is very similar to an idea I had at the start which I didn't go with - I had the floating city, the pipes and the similar egg timer shape also!

That tree shader is sweet, I had a nightmare time drawing trees and stuff in the 'Yerka style' but this 3d version looks great.
