View Full Version : How to fix red color aliasing issue in After Effects?

02 February 2009, 01:18 AM
Hi there,

This is my first post here on cgtalk, so I apologize if this question has already come up previously...

I have a title sequence created in After Effects that uses red colored font. The codec my company uses for their game engine code is H.264. After rendering it out as a uncompressed video for Windows file and putting it through the H.264 codec, the red color appears jaggy / aliased.

Since our code only supports H.264 for our game, my options are pretty limited in terms of trying to find a work around for this. The red font looks fine and dandy when rendered out uncompressed, so I know it's a codec issue. I also know that red tends to be a dreaded color in broadcast due to this same issue.

Does anyone know of a workaround to fix this?
