Hello, I'm looking for some feedback on my modelling. Any crits most welcome :)
You can see a wireframe here (http://www.wittypig.com/IMAGES/CGTalk/MiniWip09.jpg)
...By the way, I'm using 3dsMax5.
Thats really great, really nicely detailed.
I don't know which kind of mini your are doing, but your back is all wrong, your missing two metal braces.

Thanks for the feeback guys - I'm actually still in the process of modelling so that's why the rear of the car and the windows are incomplete. Have to add the main rear brake light, rear wiper and the window struts along with a few other things.
It's supposed the be the Mini One by the way, only I have a lot of reference pics from the Cooper and Sport models as well so hopefully I haven't modelling anything that shouldn't be on the One model. I guess it would be easier when modelling cars if you actually owned it so you could check everythings in the right place :D

Where creases or rills (i.e. for the door) contact the window area it looks as if you've been hand tweaking the surfaces. They don't look smooth at those specific areas.
The rim defioning the window looks stylistically wrong, a bit too belt-like.
But a nice model!

PLEASE do not post smooth wireframes , how many times do we have to tell.
Please post the low poly wire.

Soz Sheep Factory :argh: - wireframe link fixed

the steering wheel is on the wrong side! :D
things i see that need fixing (working from a few pics of the mini one that i found online, since we only have the cooper and cooper S here in the states):
1) the side skirts should be a bit more straight as i don't think they bulge in the center like you have them doing (although this may be a model difference in the One version, not sure)
2) the trim around the wheel well arches really looks broken up at the seems, ie the curve is not continuous around the whole arch. you will need to adjust the topology of your mesh to get the curves to flow porperly when smoothed
3) the structure of the headlights looks a bit off to me, like its a bit too simple. i think the lower protion, with the two small lights is alot more 'curvy' maybe if you just smoothed what you have now it would be right.
keep up the work on it, as the model has not too much further to go before it'll be right on :)

Judging from your wireframe you'll have a lot of wavy reflection problems.
The poly cage is pretty good but your vertex's are all around , you have to fix the tangency between them. I dont know the snapping features of max , but in maya i used to draw a nurbs curve (a straight one ) and snap the vertexs on that curve so they are perfectly planar.
good luck with it , its very promising.

Thanks for the great feedback guys :) Think I've got more or less everything modelled so now I've just got to tweak what I've got.

looks a bit like the back wheels need to be pushed in a bit. there should be more clearance on the lip that covers the back wheels.
