View Full Version : Is this a bug or glitch?

Something seems to be wrong with the rigging controls in Maya. For example, when I go into the component editor after the name of each joint it says "cluster" (which i didn't add).
And the rotate tool no longer works with the joints.

I wasn't having these errors a few days ago and I don't really know what's wrong.

I would greatly appreciate any advice on fixing this.

Cluster should be there when you bind a skin to the skeleton,

Are you using 4.5?.

Prior to Maya 5.0, if you setup an IK for your skeleton it will lock the joint rotation since rotation will be handle by the IKsolver.

In Maya 5.0, I believe AW has combine both FK and IK rig in a single structure so you still can rotate the FK joint?. Maybe some Maya 5.0 user can elaborate on this new IK/FK stuff.
