I created this American GI for my XSI100 class assignment at CDIS. :p

This simple 2 sec. animation was encoded in DIVX 5.02 and it's supposed to be played in repeat mode.

I know that the texture is terrible and too low-res.. :thumbsdow This was my first attempt at creating textures from scratch and I found it so much harder than I expected... I also notice that the weighting is quite off too. Especially around arm and ankle joint area.. Any ideas on how I could improve this character?

you've were kidding about the problem thing right. It looks great. Textures can be fixed quite easily.

THe only thing I can think of to say is that his shoes look too new.

Good model!! very nice work...

i agree with you about the shoes... and textures.. and, there is something wrong in the face... it looks.. lifeless ?

the hands bother me, as well as he doesn't seem to have actual "weight" to his hand or the gernade in it.

I think the main problem with the hand is the rigidity. His fingers don't bend, there's no life to it.

Other than that and the textures it looks really good.
