you made a good job morin,
but i think you need to improve your lighting, because the darkness area or too black, especially in the mouth area.

Thatís really cool. I agree about the lighting, maybe a back light to make him pop out a bit more. One thing that is a little strange, it looks like the alignment of his nose, lips and chin sort of smear off to the right. I like it though, good texturing work.

great stuff, don't know what a litterateur is, but that does not matter.
If you would ask me to be nitpickin' I would say that the neck seems oddly thin, possibly caused by the dark shadows and that the greases arround the eyes look somewhat 'designed' instead of natural. The skin of the cheeks and forehead is nicely textured with a nice organic feel, which I miss a bit under the eyes where you have those Z shaped wrinckles.

All that being said the eyes are beautiful and the face is an obvious portrait, not a designed 'head'.

Any particular reason for this portrait?
