There had been a lot of progress made in the last month or so as we are nearing the release of our mod! Our first beta had been release to the testers and they are working hard pointing out bugs and visual indescrepancies that we had missed before. So things are progressing nicely.
Nevertheless, we are still in need of 1 or 2 texture artists that can texture our static meshes! Please refer to my post above to contact info!
And now, The Media.

Hello once again!
Call to Arms:
60 years on, choose who you will fight for. Will you shout "Urraaaa!!" as you launch yourself into battle to free the Motherland of the invaders' grip ? Will you fight in the battles to defend your homes and then take the fight all the way to the invaders' capital ? Or will you try to wrest that great land from the Soviets ? Fight in those vast open spaces and, finally, fight to stem the Red tide at the doors of the Reichstag ?
Yes, thatís right! Red Orchestra had set the date for release of its first Public Beta! On Friday October 10th the download links will go up everywhere for Red Orchestra Beta. The game servers will be up and ready for players. Now it's your chance to get a hold of UT2003 and enjoy possibly the best mod experience ever !!!
Visit www.redorchestramod.com for more information and for download locations!

Wow. This is one great mod concept. It look great too!
I would be willing to contribute but I'm more interessted in creating models for the game as well as skinning them. I know you're not asking for help with modeling but I thought I'd give it a shot and ask because that's the area I'm specializing in. Therefore I'd like to come out of this with great models for my portfolio. Sorry if this sound selfish but I would love to contribute in that area.
Check my site if you're interested and you want to see some of my work.

I'm very sorry Optigon-cg, but at the moment we have the desired number of modelers! Nevertheless, i will keep your offer in mind in case we would require someone of your credentials to join our team.
But we are still interested in hearing from mappers, texture artists and coders (with knowledge of Unreal Script)!
Thanks a lot for your interest!

As Red Orchestra nears release, we'd like to mention a few things. First of all, we have a brand new official German Red Orchestra website, located at http://www.redorchestramod.de (Thanks Rotkopf!). On another note, we have decided to release our Infantry Manual (Big thanks to Alan) and tester interviews today. Enjoy, and we look forward to seeing you all on the servers tommorow night!

"Red Orchestra brings you in-depth infantry combat on the
Eastern Front of WWII. With the emphasis on realism and
authenticity, the Soviet Red Army meets the German Army
on the ground across battlefields from Kiev through Stalingrad
and on to the Reichstag in Berlin. Real weapons. Real
battles. Real soldiers."
