View Full Version : IK arm with auto clavicle in maya

Hello everyone,

I am trying to get an auto clavicle to work with an IK arm.
FK is no problem at all because I simply use a multiplyDivide Node to drive the clavile rotation based on the rotation of the shoulder.
In IK however I always get a cycle warning.
Reason for this is as I think the following:
When I use the rotation of the shoulder and apply a percentage of it to the clavicle that means that I change the position of the shoulder which results in a different rotation angle of the shoulder (which is connected to the clavicle again).
Is there any way to overcome that problem?
