When will this end? I'm still spending on movies! :(

Imagi Animation is Out of Money and Temporarily Shutting Down? (http://www.firstshowing.net/2009/01/25/imagi-animation-is-out-of-money-and-temporarily-shutting-down/)

Imagi Animation Studios is running out of money and may be temporarily shutting down operations. The official news will supposedly hit the wire tomorrow, but employees are being told not to show up to work starting on Monday. Imagi, based out of Hong Kong, is the animation company behind 2007's TMNT as well as the upcoming Astro Boy movie and also Gatchaman.

good luck Imagi. They do great work. At the end of the day, it is still a business. If you can't do the work and make it profitable then something needs to change.

I hate to see a great studio like that go away, but it is reality

Noooooo! I own TMNT DVD. I really like the kind of movies they make. Hopefully they get some money from the Chinese government.

I hope they keep up with all the cool projects they have in the works.

Astroboy, Gatchaman, and the giant robot one! I think they'll come out of this. They have a good market. I just think they needed to move a little faster in creation process.

Don't worry, folks. Astro Boy is alive and well but Imagi still needs to raise funds for Gatchaman.
