Nice job, especially the colour and the grass textures. My only crit would be that the clouds appear too realistic, almost photo-real. Good luck!

There are a lot of Yerka's painting where clouds are almost photorealistic. I would say this image is closest so far to Yerka's style.

yeap, i agree that this is very much like yerka's style..
great artwork, nicely done!

Thanks for the comments guys :)
BaronImpossible - thanks man, honestly to say. The one thing that I dont like on Yerkas paintings are his clouds, so I tried to follow his style more in other things. Hope it would be OK :arteest:

I like it very much! The textures, the colors, but also the details and their symbolics.
-The bubbles in the sky with beetles, I think are an essential element in this composition.
Try to imagine the picture without them and it doesn't work as well anymore...
01 January 2009, 04:04 PM
That is very true! I think the beetles are what leads your eye to the central element (the bubble blowing cactus) lol pretty awesome!!
01 January 2009, 09:43 PM
thanks a lot men ! I think that without the beetles in boubles would morke the image much less.

I wonder if you don't mind telling how you made the trees? are they by hand or by some tree generator. they have a nice balance of being nice and organic yet stylized.
02 February 2009, 11:46 AM
bradon - thanks man, the trees are just painted by hand, leaf by leaf with the reference of Yerkas trees
02 February 2009, 11:23 PM
nice interpretation of his style, colours and shapes are good...the details could be sharper but still good. Those leaves are certainly much better than mine
02 February 2009, 12:55 AM
