View Full Version : Harvest of Gods :: EXOTIQUE 4 Tutorial

Chester Ocampo is one of Manila's coolest illustrators. He created an amazing, shiny image for his submission into EXOTIQUE 4. His golden gamble paid off and he made it into a double spread. Check out this simple workflow of the project and take special notice of his intuitive lighting techniques. Gorgeous.

A nice step by step on this golden/glowy style seen so often these days in Korean, Chinese and south Asian cg art. Books like 'Comicers' and websites have so many good tutorials, too bad more can't be translated to English!

Thanks for putting this together. It's a good thing to be able to see others work methods and pass around for those interested in learning.

Thank you Chester, this tutorial is fantastic for beginners such as myself. I have been wanting to learn to paint and found this incredibly helpful. I hope you end up doing a pdf of this tutorial, I have a long bus ride from my studio and would like access to this offline. Thanks again..

I'm always watching the work of elpinoy, one of my favourites artists.

This picture is one of the most detailed between his works, altough I like more the "Victorious" painting!
