(http://assets.cgsociety.org/nvart/247876_1232287049/1024bound)here we go!
to tell the truth: i didn't know about jacek yerka befor a friend told me about this contest.
so i looked through yerka's website and immediately become a huge admirer for his work. i love how he puts all those little details in his paintings.
and all the details were challenging me the most for i'm a very lazy person by nature.
i painted it in painter with a little help in photoshop (because i'm very new to painter).
i hope you like it!

Wow, I really love the way you've mashed up nature and man made objects, very nice, very Yerka, as well as the use of pastel style coloring, I like this a lot.

I'll just repeat what Webwings said. The waves melting into the buildings is a very nice, poetic, strong image. I also really like the treeroots amongst the waterfall...(would have liked to see more of them though) This is just personal, because I love organic patterns.

Nice work Arnie! I had seen some of Yerka's work before, but had not explored it thoroughly til now. You've definitely captured many elements of his style in this. Great job!

You have captured the colors of Yerka and the soft details that he uses. I can definitely see this one as a winner.
