View Full Version : Question about Game WorkFlow/Zbrush

I am modeling a Character in maya and I have moved it over to Zbrush for futhur detail. However, when its time to texturing should I ;
A: texture it before I transpose it or B: can I transpose it then texture.

I would like to animate it at a later date, also I would like it to be able to be used in a game engine.

Anyway I hope this makes sense.
please let me know if you have a idea.

This isn't really a rigging question that you're asking... but I'll give an answer first anyways.

The process should be as follows:

1. Make the lo-res model.
2. UV Map the model.
3. Up-res & sculpt.
4. Create a normal map from the high-res model to be applied to the lo-res.
5. Use the Normal map as a guide for your texturing.
