After 'finishing' my Porsche, as you can see here (, I still had two things I wanted to do: make a studio environment and a racing version.

I started with the racing version but didn't like the result very much, it was a bit chaotic and ugly to say the least, so I re-made the decalling as seen on the Dutch Le Mans race car Spyker, which IMHO is absolutely beautiful, only now on the Porsche. It was tricky, since the Spyker C8 Double 12 doesn't really resemble the shape of the GT2... In the end I was very satisfied with the result.

After finishing the racing version, I started fooling around with some new settings in the Light Tracer, new geometry, new materials etc.
I had a lot of problems with the reflector planes casting light and shadows as you can see here (

Software used:
3D SMax 5.1
PhotoShop 7.0
Illustrator 10, a lot of hand drawn logo's on the race version, because the sponsors are mainly dutch and not very well known (=no logo to be found on

Here are the images, crits + comments welcome:

Thanks for the replies.

munkY: What don't you like about the ground? It's black! :) With some grey shadows on it...

EighthDecay: Hehe, I am done with it now... :p Been working on it long enough. I have done everything I wanted to do with it.

Noone else?

Sweet, that is a great livery, suits the Porsche great. The new rims are a match too. Good job !
