I about fell out of my seat when I got the email. Very exciting times ahead in CP Development. I hope this means that there will be many more shared QT libraries and Projects to explore in the upcoming future.

I wonder if this is Nokia's response to the growing opensource development on Android.

More open software is always good - I've always preferred the feel of QT apps, particularly under Windows compared to GTK.

In a word: yes. Seems Nokia wants to encourage developers towards QTopia as much as possible.
