View Full Version : Path Wind and Particle Problems

06 June 2003, 09:44 AM
I've created a scene where my particles follow a path, all works well, as long as the action starts at frame 0. - how can I do the same thing but have it all start at frame 120, I've tried enveloping the particle emission but the particles then ignore the path.

Any ideas what I'am doing wrong?

works fine for me, but I set the Start Frame (bottom of FXEmitter) to 120...not an envelope.

and of course, you ARE pushing the FXStart button, right?

Hmm, I seem to remember this happening to me.

From memory, my solution was to animate the wind in the right place at the right time.

Then move all the keys for the wind so that it starts at 0, so if the wind motion was from 120-300, then shift keys by -120.

Then set the particles to start on frame 120. They'll follow the wind as if it's motion started at frame 120.

Then again, maybe pressing FXStart was all I needed :p

nah K, theres no need...his scene works fine.
again, no Envelope, just Start Frame 120!
