View Full Version : planting feet in 3d-max

i just started working in 3d-max and im experiencing some problems with biped movment...
i have to plant a feet that it wont move as im working with other bones. i use anchor but when i unchecked it again feet changes its position.
and to place that feet in exect postion is taking too much time infact after spend that much time im not getting good result.
i am useing
1- default biped
2- auto key mode
3- and my knowledge of this software is very basic

whats the best and easy way to work out on a movement in which a character is standing up from the chair.

and it will be great if i can get step by step help or and youtube video link.
remember i'm a begner

In the keying option u have "plant key" to plant ur biped feet... Im not in a system tht has max... Plz ber with me.

Your in luck max ships with a step by step tutorial on animating with the biped got to:

Help > Tutorials

then in the search field type:

"Animating a Freeform Walk Cycle"

That should return a list of step by step tutorial.

They describe methods for planting the feet and stuff.

thatnkx for your help but now i'm stuck in another problem.
it planted foot bus after making some changes in the pose my bip01 spine changes its orignal position.
