I downloaded the demo of Modo yesterday and began to play around with it. I created a simple polygon cube and began manipulating it with all the fabulous tools that Modo has to offer. My goal was to experiment, and I eventually had oddly shaped faces and strange forms. But after becoming somewhat familiar with the tools and interface, I thought that I might try to model some sort of head or face, on my distorted cube. When I started the character I had no intention of even finishing it, it was merely an experiment for the tool's sake. However, I've changed my mind and would like to continue with the model I currently have, and continue to familiarize myself with Modo. But I've run into a problem.
Here are some pictures of how awkward my model was:
As you can see it has some(alot) of faces that are not necessary, remnants of my experiments. It seemed like I was unable to do much from there, so I deleted most of that portion of the model. I still have a backup file of the model before deleting the faces though, so if one of you finds that it would be better to go from there...I can. So, Here is where I am now:
I've taken off the entire back part of the model, but I don't know how I would go about rebuilding it...
This is probably something very basic and easy, but I can't seem to find something that works. I've tried going into the Geometry>Polygon menu, whilst having a loop of edges selected, and trying to make a face. But the result is not good. So any insight on how I would rebuild the back portion of my model would be very helpful!
One last thing, during my experiments I had deleted some faces where the eyes of my model are. I tried using the method I stated above (Geometry>Polygon>Make). It created a new face there but I haven't touched that area yet, because of some strange...wrinkles or something on the faces:
