View Full Version : ICE: Non Destructive?

12 December 2008, 04:52 PM
I ran into a problem today when assigning ICE (Simulated tree) to one of my objects. The object is animated and uses some animated deformers (curve-deform, lattice, twist).

When i applied ICE it screwed up all the deformers/ animations.

Why is that? I thought ICE was non-destructive.

Any ideas?

"By default, the initial state of a simulation is the result of the regions below the Simulation region on the first frame at which the simulation environment is active (see The ICE Simulation Environment ( When the simulation is active, the regions below the Simulation
region are not re-evaluated."
