Cadalyst All-Star awards honor the best of the best — the most outstanding among all hardware and software products that earned Highly Recommended ratings from Cadalyst Labs over the past year. NVIDIA's FX 3700 graphics card received a Cadalyst Award in the hardware category. According to Cadalyst magazine, “This card produced great performance numbers, and (Ron) LaFon anticipated seeing even better performance as the card becomes available in speedy new workstations.”

So they award watered down workstation cards instead of asking the manufacturer why they don't just put better OGL support in their pro gaming card which has better spec and being sold at half the price. \o/

lulz pwnd.

But seriously you're right, why would anyone buy an FX card when you can buy a Geforce, get some hacked drivers and have all the functionality of an FX for less than half cost?
I already tried this solution with my budget 8600 and it work well (for Maya that is) but I enjoyed my gaming too much so I went back to the official drivers.
