This is my first post on cgtalk! Here's a pic of my first character head. I modeled the head with softimage XSI and painted all the textures using photoshop...

It looks really nice (especially those wacky, messed up teeth). He's got a ton of attitude. It is a bit hard to make out his eyes though, I think because of the amount of reflection in them.

Hi and welcome to CGTalk!

I really like your character, makes me think about orchs.

It looks abit edgy at the eyebrows, however. I also agree with xzevlin: The eyes look like glass.

well, for a first character model, it's a DARN NICE JOB! It's very good, it's got character. Could you post a wireframe? There is something in the polygon distribution that troubles me.

Thnx guys, yeah I agree the eyes are kinda glass looking, i'm gonna crank down the spec on them and see how that looks.

I like the Ogre,very good.
But I don't like his teeth,Just like low-polygon,
the skin is realistic,but the teeth give me an information
that he was escape from Quake world.:)

Hmm, I see, very nice model, I like it. Why did you post the low-poly version textured? How does it look in high poly?
And I agree on the comments about the teeth.

Thanks for the feedback.
Not too sure what you mean about the lowpoly version.. I haven't textured the body yet, that one shot of the body with color was toonshaded. The only lowpoly shots I posted were of the wireframe. The texture shots of the head were subdevided.

Well, the textured version (1st post) has an angle on the I figured you posted the low-poly with textures not the NURBed one (smoothed one). Take a good look at the area of the eyes, it's weird.
