View Full Version : education and school advice?!

Hi, don't know if this is too lame of me to ask.
and don't quite know how to put it, but so be it!

Im 20 years old. looking for an education within some kind of 2D Concept design stuff.
have been drawing character design for like all my life.

all I have for an education is 9th/10th. grade exam. (Danish/Faroese).
As far as I understand, in the english educational system that's nothing !
I think High school would be called 11th/12th. grade if the system was so here.
(here we have something called "Miđnáms útbúgving" (Faroese)).

I understand that you almost always have to have some kind of high school to continue your education.
I began this Miđnáms-útbúgving twice. ! but quit ! totaly hate it !

my question is :
- since this so called High school has nothing to do with "Art" what so ever. can I avoid it ?
- is it possible to get some kind of online 2D Concept Design education course. (without any pre education) ?

sorry if this was totally inconvenient. I mean come on, who hasn't past High school. HAHAHA :wip: :curious:

thanks... I checked it out :) nice.
I'll definitely keep that.

but I still don't know.
found some interesting online courses too.
considering spending more time practicing with the tablet first.
maybe training DVD's at

another Question

ehm .. would it be stupid to take a graphic design education, and from there continue to concept art. if that's even possible. ?
because I found some educations that are ok, but too boring to spend so much time on
and some are way expensive :P

a bit edu. frustrated !

be patient with me. :p i'll figure it out. :)
