I've decided to work on a fight sequence for my demo reel.

Do let me know what the problems are right off the bat.. I'm not particularly good at action sequences.
Some problems may include
- Bad framing
- Bad timing (Too fast most probably)
- Not clear (Don't really understand what is going on)
I'm not sure if the movements are too fast, or perhaps there are too many cuts..
Oh, I know my poses are pretty weak this pass; I'm working on them right now. If you hav comments, do let me know!

yep - the camera is to crazy /
maybe you could connect first two attacks and then stop it for a sec
dont like that kick flip at 5sec
the rest is fine - you just have to tweak everything

Yeah, too many camera cuts to know what is going on. It's POSSIBLE that if there were a easy to read background the viewer might be able to place the viewpoints in their mind, but really, if you are doing this for a character animation reel, you ought to do it in one shot.
The multiple shots looks like you're trying to distract them from the actual animation.

I do agree that the camera cuts are distracting. I thought about it for awhile and decided to do away with them. I'll prolly change shots 2 or 3 times for the course of the animation. I intend to show my animation not my cinematography..

Ah, so that's what's going on! :)
The initial stepping around looks unweighted, partly because of the rigid relationship between the torso and the hips, partly because the hips are moving in a very linear fashion, and partly because the transfers of weight from one foot to the next aren't quite timed right, (1st one better than 2nd one).
The back flip is happening impossibly fast, and we dont' see her do enough to cause that motion.
Those are things that strike me initially.

hey robcat2075, thanks for the tip offs. Actually I do agree with the first step being abit rstiff. Hopefully this new pass will make it look more intentful.. This pass will include abit of hang-time - in air suspension in the 2nd shot.. if it doesnt look too convincing yet, do comment. I'm still working on it.

The pose at the frame 110 brake the arc of the girl's jump. You should bend the spine in the other way.
I like the Fast style, it give a manga look :)

I broke the 180 rule in my prev pass. I hope this latest pass had rectified that error.. Do let me know what you think
For this pass, I cleaned out the hang time bit, and added a third shot. Hopefully you can see where it's going from there.

I decided to do away with any cuts, hence i've staged the clip with a single shot. There were some problems with making the camera transitions, and thanks to good advice I've decided to just keep the camera static (Thanks for your comments!)
I haven't had much time to really work on this piece, but I hope its entertaining but most importantly convincing. Do comment..
