View Full Version : Cartoon Low Poly Model Help

Hey Everyone-
Pretty new to the site, well, not really...I always come here and check out the work, and see nothing but amazing results. So here I am finally posting my own thread. I'm having a rough time modeling this character. I'm not really a modeler, i'm defintly more of an animator. I'm using this character for a class of mine, and I just need some direction. I saw the topology tutorials and they are helpful, but they are guided more toward realism. And I have seen some Digital Tutors, and gnomon tutorials, and agian, they are helpful, but they are more toward realism. I mean, what do you all think is easier, blocking it out, or patch modeling? I'm really lost. I just want to make this a cartoony style character with maybe a little bit of zbrush or mudbox. If anyone can give me some guidance, it would be highly appreciated...thank you to all who respond!

Thanks again!

check out this tutorial, and my thread. I used the same principals of the tut in modeling my own character. The only characters ive ever done are these 2 and I think its coming along the proof is in the pudding.
