In the not so distance future, the world has fallen into a dark age. Morals are lost. Angered by the world government's restrictions on freedom, society rebels. The human civilization splits into three seperate voices. The Government, The Anarchy, and The Civilians. Each strive to create their own idea of a perfect world. There is constant conflict between all borders. Depression and crime cover the lands. The lines between good and evil, right and wrong are blurred. Evil cleverly emerges from the depths. Emerges in disguise. Ancient powers are reborn. The souls of the living begin to fade. Nothing is what it seems. Is there hope, or is it already too late?

You, Petra Vaine, awake to find yourself in a dark alley. You have no memory of why you are here. The streets are filled with death and destruction. Dark figures move through the shadows.

Concepts in progress.

Quick concept. I have to concentrate on modeling or I'm never getting this finished.

She finds herself in an unknown place fighting the demons that control the human race. She holds a mysterious power that protects her from evil forces and destroys the demons.

I know, lame. But I don't have time for anything else.

Working on her shape. Trying to give her realistic and natural proportions.

Add hair and clothing, then modeling will be complete.
Hmm...just realized I need to work on those thighs.

I'm running out of time to finish this, so I'm starting to wrap things up. Any quick advice on what I can improve before the texturing? I decided to take a few shortcuts to cut down on the time.

i think all the proportions look good, go for the texturing man

Thank You. I made a few improvements on them so the clothing would fit.

I'm ready to texture. I'm hoping the texture will make this submission unique, because at the moment it's looking rather boring compared to other entries for this challenge.

Great proportions. The hair might fall a bit unnatural - to close to the neck. I like the hair in the sketch much more, where it points outward. It has much more life to it.

I agree. I started all over with the hair again and tried something different. From all this, I've realized, I'm not so great at modeling hair. Maybe I should have left it alone. View the update on the challenges page.

I'm not completely satisfied with my progress, but I'm now considering the modeling done. Only because I'm running out of time, and may not finish at all. I start on the texture ASAP.

I have to finish it by June 6th because I'm taking a road trip to Texas Although it's not the best contest entry, i hope it's still a suitable portfolio piece.

I hate to say this, but it has been in the back of my mind for the past few days. I'm not going to be able to finish this. I only have two days available to work on this, and both of those days will be spent working for the public. My little town is host to an enormous July 4th festival, lots of tourist, and the stress is getting to me.

I started late on this challenge due to another project, and I knew I wouldn't have the final week to complete it. I'll finish this later and show it in another forum.

Final polycount was: 2218
I was going to use 2 512x512 color maps.

I'll be here for the next challenge, and I won't make the same mistakes.:banghead: :wavey:
