06 June 2003, 09:24 AM
I m actually working on a unicycle rider animation for a race game where u ride ur weird vehicle.
There is a programmer working on the stuff, but I don0't have a web page for it.
If interested , contact me.
I ve a web page for a old project here:

I might be interested in hleping you with a webpage, though I'm not very good...

Can you describe your project a bit more, please?

06 June 2003, 01:57 PM
Well , what I have in mind ( the other guy 's a little bit busy at the moment ) is a race where u ride a weird vehicle of some sort .
I 've been modelling a unicycle rider
(picture is attached)
will follow other human powered vehicles based on bicycle phisics mainly..
It would be a action game basically with obstacles and points to gain..

so it'd be online 3d or 2d game?

like, with flash?

or not online, but like, you have to download the game? Just my advice (which isn't much, trust me, oops, another useless piece of advice...) is to make it online game using flash/actionscript or by someother means..

I just think online games seem to be more popular, at least in the small-game type world...

06 June 2003, 02:03 PM
yes I thought about multiplayer option more than online/flash.
It would be 3D anyway.
I m thinking about using Ogre 3D engine.

06 June 2003, 02:05 PM
ahh, ok..:wip:

my bad, see? my advice isn't so great...haha...

Now, website discussion, do you have enough images to actually build a website? (a website is only as good as the pictures in it, a theory of mine...)

06 June 2003, 02:16 PM
ur advice would be good, but I really need money and online games are out of my reach maybe ?
I need to refine my pictures.
I ve been lazy about it.
Anyway not enough for a specific game dedicated web page.
What do u think would be cool ?
U offering free help ?=
Do u have a web site ?
:applause: :wip:

06 June 2003, 02:17 PM
well, I thought you said you needed website help?

yes, I have websites....

do you have hosting?

06 June 2003, 02:20 PM
Don't have hosting..
Well I can find one , sure.
Do u know of a free web space provider ?

06 June 2003, 02:23 PM
know of several, depends on what kidn of stuff you'd need...

what do you want on the site? a forum? a gallery?

06 June 2003, 02:28 PM
mh..dunno what it means exactly, but php-nuke site sounds cool )
btw..a gallery and a forum, sure..but u know it sounds like a lot of work .
Do u have free time for this ?=
Do u have a reason beside humanity ?)

:buttrock: :bounce:

06 June 2003, 02:30 PM
phpnuke, xoops, e-xoops, postnuke, LDU, they're all cms (content management systems)

yeah, i can setup one of those, and skin it, but you'll need a host with php/mysql support...

and yeah, I have evil, evil motives behind helping people...

that and I liek to help people...

06 June 2003, 02:36 PM u nasty :airguitar
well..I m looking into free web space with php/mysql now..
do u have icq or mirc ?

06 June 2003, 02:40 PM

aol: unlevelcreations

oh, and aobut my evil intentions, look around these boards, I'm not so least not now...haha...

06 June 2003, 02:50 PM
.mh ( k let's keep talking here then.
I ve found a nice web space provider , but it is italian ( I m italian ):
they give out php and mysql..
but pages are in italian..mhh

06 June 2003, 04:12 AM
as I'm not italian (nor much anything else:p ) we'll have to work together, and you translate, ok?

you go ahead and signup with whatever you want, then pm me (make sure you don't post your pass and stuff here!, pm me) and we can get started, ok?

06 June 2003, 11:50 AM
so, do you want phpnuke, postnuke, xoops, e-xoops, or what?

each has a forum, gallery, etc... and if they don't I can set one up for ya...

Whichever you decide, we'll get it up and running, then I can start skinning it, but remember, I'm not the greatest designer, so you'll have to crit the stuff I show so that you can get what you want, ok?

06 June 2003, 02:07 PM
You are doing a wonderfull job !)
Don't worry )
I can make the graphics here and there ( Photoshop ) just ask me, if I am able..

06 June 2003, 02:08 PM
alright, so which is it you want? you want to go with phpnuke?

06 June 2003, 02:14 PM
..sure phpnuke is fine.
Should I check the hoster site for info about how to set it up ?

06 June 2003, 02:15 PM
I can probably set it up, no problemos...haha...

but I don't know how soon I'll be able to get it up, and it'll take some time to get it skinned, ok?

06 June 2003, 02:18 PM
