View Full Version : Animation: Driving an object with another

Hi Everyone. I've scoured Modo's User Guide, as well as the entire net, it seems, for a solution to drive an objects animation using another object's transform. In Maya, as many people know, this is called setting a driven key. Perhaps I simply don't know the terminology used in Modo ( it seems every package has it's own name for the same thing). Here's what I'm looking to do:

I have several gears. I would like to be able to set up a system where I need only animate the rotation of one gear and have that drive the rotation of each of the other gears in turn. No two gears are the same size, so it would be a complex system of gear ratios and what not. Ideally, it would be set up so that rotating any of these gears would drive the entire system, but I'd gladly settle with only one driver. Can this be done in MODO?

Thanks in advance for help and replies.
