This is the first artwork I post in CG Talk :)
the idea is from Pixar short film: For The Birds and the character was modelled in Cinema 4D before being brought to Max for final touch and render.
Also check out: This Other Version (http://www.toeng.com/archives/get.php?id=1020143186) of the same bird :)

specular highlights on the birds is too high, they look like they're made out of plastic.

Hehehe ... my bad, I edited the pic in Photoshop and enhance the color, maybe that is why the specular level getting too high :wavey:

I toned the specular level down (using Photoshop) and I also uploaded another version of the same bird here (http://www.toeng.com/archives/get.php?id=1020143186) :)
Please let me know what u think of it. Thank you.

nice, although the specs are a bit high on the birds. Since the birds are 3d shouldnt the text be 3d to? Also, I think you should change the text, to something like XSI rocks :p

to get rid of that spec problem use Oren Nayar Blin
and advanced transparence if needed. I liked that short film.
I would like to see any animatios cool.
