06-17-2003, 02:43 PM
Magnifique images, j'adore le grain, les scratchs et la couleurs. C'est fait avec xsi ?

06-17-2003, 03:04 PM
very nice style, you should do something for Christmas.. don't worry about being dumb I dont even know how to put up an avatar yet.. hey do I have to have a website to be able to upload an image?

yes... or.... no would be very helpful thanks.

what were they for by the way?

06-17-2003, 03:06 PM
very nice..

One thing - The microphone balancing on the juggling ball takes the still life into fantasy realms!

06-17-2003, 03:32 PM
I agree that it does add a little tension into the picture - but I think that a juggling ball would be soft enough to support the micrphone resting at an angle like that

the larger problems are :

that in both pictures the microphone takes the eye out of the picture frame

the dust and scratches are distracting, they should be less obtrusive

I really like these though, fantastic work!

06-17-2003, 03:52 PM
very well done! love the atmosphere uve created! Gives me a real
retro kind of feeling

06-17-2003, 05:04 PM
I hate clowns and I think they are the dumbest thing in the world and each time I see one I wana knock em out but have to restrain myself from doing it lol... otherwise I LOVE the style very interesting.

06-17-2003, 05:56 PM
Now thats art!, love the look and feel of the work, simple and yet very complex in design. The lighting is by far the greatest part. would love to see some old test renders.

06-17-2003, 06:39 PM
Very nice, the photo scratches and grain are really unique.. and they actually look good.

06-17-2003, 07:03 PM
 Hmm.. a New style-looks great!!!

06-17-2003, 08:25 PM
looks good

But the images have identical scratches

06-17-2003, 08:56 PM
nice work  great mood. Very début-du-XX°siècle-esque.(même s'il n'y avait pas de photos en couleur à cette époque..mais c'est quand même ce que çà m'inspire)

06-17-2003, 09:03 PM
do you have a render that is without the cool grains fx?

06-17-2003, 09:07 PM
WOOOWWW!!PERFECT!!! :bounce:

I totally agree, although I would say that the microphone isn't shuch a big deal. The scratches are so intense that I had trouble focusing in on the objects (especially in the first image).

06-17-2003, 10:24 PM
wooow..very nice renders.
only the wine in the glasses could
have a little finetuning!!!

06-17-2003, 10:26 PM
But what about creating some wrinkles on those "Partitures" (music paper)? They are to flat, specially in the second picture.

Nice texture and ligthing, and yea...the dust and scratches are distracting.

:applause:

06-17-2003, 11:57 PM
wow. nice details.
a bit too many scratches.
i love it.

@spacetic: posting pictures -> own webspace

I think they are very nice, but just the thing about adding those film scratches and distress on them to create an old feeling on the pic... the rich colour saturation of the pic made them looked a little bit odd. Looks like manually adding scratches on a new pic to make it looks old. Would it be better to tone down the colour saturation, like what the "Band of Brothers" does? :p

06-18-2003, 04:11 AM
very nice I like it

06-18-2003, 06:51 AM
Aaaaaaargh! I just hate clowns! ..dunno why but I hate them!

Impressive work indeed! GREAT! You really can capture the feeling/mood...it is perfect!

06-18-2003, 09:01 AM
Good, better ...

06-18-2003, 10:28 AM
nice wrk ! really beautiful and great lighting and soft appeal!

vwery had wrkin texturing!!! and outstanding result!

06-18-2003, 10:57 AM
c'est beau.

06-18-2003, 03:46 PM
I thought excactly the same as Number5. The scratches doesnt fit the picture becaus the picture itself is so saturated and clear. An old picture would be more diffuse and be less colorful. Feels a bit like the scratches are on a glassplate in front.

Otherwise it's amazing work!

06-18-2003, 05:36 PM
It's a wonderful work!

06-18-2003, 07:23 PM
wow great.. izzit 2d or 3d?:applause:

06-18-2003, 10:26 PM
one thing:

if you look at any old magazines like Life or National Geographic you will see how desaturated the color photos look - they just didnt have our modern process inks and high quality papers - that plus add the effects of time and old photos tend to look washed out

one suggestion might be to do a sepia duo-tone with some added noise in only one channel so the highlights and midtones can come through

all in all, this is great work!

06-19-2003, 12:57 PM
Nice style, Keep post up more

06-19-2003, 05:16 PM
thanks for all those comments!
I know I always put too much things on my pictures, like dust,hairs,scratches....
I have another sepia render , so here it is!

06-21-2003, 07:02 AM
I like the sepia render is very nice, the scratches don't bother me nearly as much,

06-23-2003, 01:34 PM
