Excellent work, as usual. Ritual is lucky to have you. Perhaps someday I'll be working along side you...if I could only develop my skills a little further and figure out a way for someone at Ritual to actually answer my emails. Maybe someday. Can't wait to buy the new Elite Force 2! It looks like its gonna totally rock.:buttrock: Keep it up, my friend, you're extremely talented.

Some of those models are just... Unbelievable! Amazing work, I absolutely love that style! I'd love to see more fantasy stuff from you in the future too. Makes me wonder why Raven can't go back to making Fantasy games like they used to. Your style would be so perfect for it!

06-16-2003, 05:38 AM

Does that mean that you were able to keep your job? Or are you posting this because you are searching for work?

06-17-2003, 01:28 AM
nothing else to say that hasn't been said :-D stunning work - i'm honestly amazed by the "mug shots" of all the diff. crew members - really amazing work! great job!

Really nice portfólio you have there!!

Thx for showing us!

06-18-2003, 03:03 AM
Very nice solid portfolio and website.

I really love your texture style.
I looked at your tutorials, very interesting. Do you normaly color your vertices before you paint on most all characters? Thats a neat way of setting color tones. Our studio use's maya, I am going to see if I can toy around with that method.

I notice on your front page to the website you mention your inspired with Andrew Jones? Thats very cool. I work with Andrew at Retro and damn that man can concept !!

Anyway very nice, clean, and cool looking stuff. Props!

:applause:

So EF2 playes in different ST-Series, eg. Next Gen, Voyager etc.?

06-21-2003, 11:13 PM
I find it hilarious that there appears to be more polys in her boobs than almost her entire body.

I gotta say i'm SO incredibly tired of CG females with impossible bodies. But it's great work nonetheless.

06-21-2003, 11:18 PM
Great work!

06-22-2003, 02:05 AM
incredible looking game, the graphics are stunning at 1280x1024, impressive indeed. The screenshots on the official site doesn't do this game justice.

06-22-2003, 02:07 AM
Game art is best viewed in motion ;) Judging it in stiff renders is a whole different ball game :D Hmm is there a demo for this game yet?

06-22-2003, 02:10 AM

2 thumbs up!

06-22-2003, 02:21 AM

Some of the work in motion:

The later link is to my partner in crime Juan Martinez. On EF2 I did modeling and skinning and he did the animations. I’m a big fan of his work. :)

Amazing.. great work. I'm not a ST fan in the slightest but the game looks good; going to have to download the demo..

Good luck with the job search - not that you need luck. With that talent, anyone will hire you!

06-22-2003, 03:23 AM
Excellent work bobo. I've been a fan of your work for a long time now, in particular your texturing style. Great use of detail and your colour choices are always fantastic. They really bring some quite simple (but well done) models to life. The textures alone really make the model seem twice the poly count.

These are going straight to the pool room......

06-22-2003, 04:00 AM

and I'm a fan..

Your portfolio Rocks...:buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock:

06-22-2003, 04:02 AM
Excellent poly count and textures. Looks absolutely great. Makes me wanna buy the game :D

06-22-2003, 04:39 AM
Hey I just beat the first level in the demo, quite impressive. I love the use of the tricoder and the little 'mini-objectives' like the powergrid thingamajig.

Hmm my opinion? Well.. its the quake3 engine  HOWEVER I think the best quake3 engined game to date! (I dunno how JK3 will turn out.. time will tell). I was impressed with the enemies they fly from everywhere lol.. damn it was intense.

The models are excellent, but the facial expressions are weak in my opinion :( Mouth synch has like 3 points for mouth to move :( Or so it seemed anyway. The skins were fantastic. Up close you get the usual low res nature of games but I think really fantastic. I can't wait till 4096x4096 textures are widely used  Heh anyways, how many textures per character on average did you use? The animations were unique. I gotta hand it to ya, absolutely amazing work for quake3 regardless of how old originally the engine is!

My personal wish is for more realistic facial expressions. My favorite game with the best facial expressions and .. well animations in my opinion (well .. all motion captured -- the movements) is shenmue :) All games should be like that. None the less this kicked ass and I want to buy the game now. Keep up the work!

06-22-2003, 05:03 AM
Wow... great.. I love the four eyes ladie!!.. the ladie have a cel phone?... :buttrock:

06-22-2003, 05:39 AM
Amazing work.
I rarely post any comments on images, and when I do it's some top notch stuff. Good job :airguitar

06-22-2003, 05:39 AM

06-22-2003, 01:11 PM

The lady with 4 eyes, should have 4 breasts :p

but other than that it rocks !!!!

06-22-2003, 02:48 PM
Since it's quake3 engined, I think I'm going to give it a shot after I move on my HDTV ;) Running quake3 at 1920x1080 (that's a 16:9 aspect ratio) was pretty cool even though the textures and models were so low res.. I wonder how elite force will look.. man :)

06-22-2003, 05:21 PM
Oh wow...
That's kick ass..:applause:

Really great work. I've got the demo a few days ago and have played it through twice. I was a huge fan of the original game and I have to admit this one looks amazing. I loved the models. I will definatly be buying this game.

Really well done

What were the poly counts by the way?

06-23-2003, 03:28 AM
