11 November 2008, 11:49 PM
here's my idea - this is a VERY rough pre-viz... not sure about the general colour scheme [whether I want it colorful like that or more toned down] Also the thing on her head is looking way better in my head so I'll just leave it to 3d instead of trying to get it right in photoshop hehe:)
My main inspiration for the pose came from George Frederic Watts's 'The All-Pervading'
A PYTHIA - THE ORACLE :) [yes I'm going for 1 character - I'd rather not fool myself in being able to do 10 of them at high level in that amount of time hehe]
11 November 2008, 11:52 PM
daWinky - thanks a lot Sabrina :D
fgdf - cheers :D
Lemog - lol you have nothing to be afraid of I'm sure hehe...
alenah - Thanks a lot :D
11 November 2008, 12:29 AM
really beautifull , the color scheme is very appealing to me :) .
That new idea sounds great . i'd say go for it :arteest:
11 November 2008, 01:36 AM
Agree with collings. Though when I saw your character at first, I thought it could be Medusa (the snake-hair woman) :)
11 November 2008, 01:41 AM
Thanks Nick - yeah I shall :) No more changes [though I hardly believe this statement hehe]
Martin - thanks! yes I thought it would look like that hehe... like I've said I totally failed at drawing that headpiece ;)
11 November 2008, 01:47 AM
Phew.... good you`re in Image category. That makes my chances bigger! ;D
Powodzenia, Madziu ;)
11 November 2008, 03:42 AM
I'm not familiar with the story, but I like your concept sketch! :) I like your color scheme, or maybe you could add touches of blue-violet, just a thought. I'm sure this will turn out very well!
11 November 2008, 04:54 AM

11 November 2008, 06:22 AM
Ah here you are!
Great choice (still haven't made up my mind meself) and smart thinking as usual.

11 November 2008, 07:35 AM
Good concept, this can be a really interesting portrait - and especially timewise a clever choice sticking to one character:wise: ...so I'm looking forward to see the first polys here...
11 November 2008, 09:12 AM
Your concept sketche appear more enjoy than the inspiration was... and especially more "exotic"... I prefer your vision and I will be glad to see the next development  good for me...

11 November 2008, 03:02 AM
decided to revise my idea - wasn't too happy with the previous one - and go for my favorite story of all time - HAMLET ... I have no idea why I haven't done that from the start 0_o
this is a VERT quick mock up/collage of the steampunk prince [looks too much like a girl hehe and btw, it's a skull he's holding ... kinda chunky, I know]
well now I have to really get a move on!
11 November 2008, 03:06 AM
thanks everyone for the kind words!
11 November 2008, 03:10 AM
the frist idea was great but this one is nice too ! Let's move now you have some time to catch up ;)
11 November 2008, 03:11 AM
:p lol yeah ... well thankfully I've got just one dude so I should catch up *fingers crossed* Thanks Nick!
11 November 2008, 03:12 AM
a very good morning Magda! :p i like the color scheme in this new concept! .. in fact .. speaking of which ... you can combine one or more mythologies and see what works out .. that way there's stylization and originality at the same time ...
[ just an idea ] = how about pairing hamlet with someone else .. more dark or equivalent to his level ...
one thing for sure ... there are traces of 'mystery' in your work
11 November 2008, 08:30 AM
I'm looking forward to seeing this develop. Good luck.
11 November 2008, 09:12 AM
Haha !!! We should work together ;)
You began Hamlet... I've the Ophelia !!!
Nice to see comon inspirations ;)
11 November 2008, 10:04 AM

11 November 2008, 10:14 AM
